Chef Paula Szczepanek has a passion for delicious and nutritious food that she’s had since childhood. As a kid, she was a competitive gymnast with a really good cook for a mom, both of whom knew the power of eating with purpose. She ate dinner nightly at the table with her family and was probably the only kid who didn’t really like McDonald’s.
Fast-forward to a young woman out for adventure. The soon to be chef was living in Italy for a few years and learning the Slow Food philosophy on food and eating. The Slow Food Movement encourages eating locally with the seasons and slowing down to enjoy the pleasures of real, unprocessed foods. This became Chef Paula’s philosophy which she honed at The Culinary Institute of America with such luminary chefs for mentors as Chef Larry Forgione, Chef Tony Nogales, and Chef Anita Eisenhower to name just a few.
Today, after leaving her stint as Corpus Christi Independent School District’s Executive Chef of eight years, she has turned her talents to The Farmacy Group TX, LLC offering catering for all your extraordinary events.
